2Wire Driver Support Null w/ PACE Takeover - Windows 7 NDIS Ethernet USB Driver Solution

2Wire Driver Support Null w/ PACE Takeover - Windows 7 NDIS Ethernet USB Driver Solution

SOLVED - Device Manager > 2Wire USB (w/ Yellow Triangle) > Update Driver > Browse My Computer For Driver Software > Let me pick from a list of Device Drivers on My Computer > (Left Panel) Select "Microsoft Corporation" > (Right panel) Select "Remote NDIS Compatible Device" > OK

This worked on Windows 7 Ultimate w/ AT&T Gateway 2Wire 3800HGV-B over USB-PC port :) IP Configuration was Automatic (DHCP), no further configuration or login required. This solution should work with any NDIS compliant gateways, including other AT&T branded 2Wire gateways.

Without this solution Microsoft Update will not find a suitable driver nor does PACE or support.2wire.com provide an answer at all. This is the only Win 7 configuration that will work. Others have had limited success with using an XP driver on Win 7 as they are based on the same kernel, but this is the end all end all. Enjoy :P
